1
Rota-corona virus vaccine administered prior to nursing.
2
May be given to calves nursing pregnant cows if cows have been
vaccinated within the previous year with Bovi-Shield (or PregGuard).
Notes
No more than three gram (-) vaccines administered at one time “5-way” Lepto administered
twice annually (~ 6 month intervals) in “high risk” herds and once annually in “low risk” herds
Bovi-Shield may be used in calves nursing pregnant heifers/cows or in pregnant heifers/cows if
the heifers/cows were vaccinated within 12 months. Bovi-Shield must be given initially to open
females. ScourGuard 3 (K)/C should be administered pre-calving if calf scours is a problem.
This should be administered twice (at least two weeks apart) the first year, with the second
dose given 2-3 weeks before calving. A single annual booster may be given 2-3 weeks before
each subsequent calving. Heifers’ calves are twice as likely to develop scours as calves born to
mature cows.

Express Ranches Herd Health
These Express Ranches’ bulls have been developed on a high roughage diet in the semi-arid terrain
of new Mexico at 4,800 ft. elevation since the summer of 2011. Complete performance records, EPDs
and ultrasound data will be available on the bulls. Bulls will be trich and fertility tested. This group of
bulls is stout, full of muscle and ready to go to work. These bulls are hard-footed and will get out and
travel the country.
